Fun Friday #19....A Boatload Of Fun

Another Fun Friday jammed with fun! We got a little bit of a late start because all the adults at Doodles house have been sick so she has been getting to spend the night with her grandparents. She needed to finish watching Dinosaur Train before she could come this morning. I'm not sure if grandpa wanted her to stay and play with him all day or if she wanted to stay and play with grandpa all day. All I know is that the other two yahoos were chomping at the bit to get the party started!

First things first...today we cook.  And we all wore aprons and chef hats...well, almost all of us.

How big of a mess do you think this one made?

Little Mister OCD kept things pretty tidy.

And this one was all about telling everyone else just how to do it just right.

They were really great about taking turns making the messes.

We were making the ever so famous Gerrard family recipe, handed down from generation to generation...SNAILS.

Wish I had a nickle for every time he washes his hands during the day!  I love our new stool!

While we were waiting for the snails to bake...what better time to work on our Valentine mailboxes.

SNAILS
one pie crust rolled to about 1/4" thickness
slather pie crust with lots and lots of butter
load the crust up with lots and lots of sugar and cinnamon
tightly roll into a long roll
cut slices of about 1/4 slices
arrange on cookie sheet
bake in a preheated 350 degree oven until they bubble and get a light brown color

Then working that creative side of the brain we stamped some hearts and tried to learn how to say I love you with no words.

Allyson could not wait to share her game with us...ZINGO!!!  It really is a fun game.  Even Carter played along with his own card.  Ally was a good helper is telling us what the 'cards' were and what color card we would play on.

She has also been really excited about bringing one of her favorite books.  These guys are pretty funny.  It actually works on rhyming words.  Ed, Ned, Ted and Bob.  And poor Bob, he seems so clueless until they finally figure out what he is trying to tell them.

The best and what I miss the most about not being at preschool...reading books.  They thought it was so funny because the dust bunnies came alive.  They were cracking up.  I just love a good book that makes kids laugh from their toes.

To end the day after naps we all shared a pink cupcake that Doodles brought while I read Pinkalicious.
(and this one doesn't like cupcakes?...I beg to differ)

It was another great Friday.  Now I am ready for a little power nap.
