201st
I am learning so much about the 201st. I wish I had about an hour where I didn't have anything thing else to do but read all about them. I don't have all the Army lingo down or understand most of it, but I am impressed. There is a photo gallery let lets you see all sorts of things.
But reading some of the basic info made me so much more proud of T-Bird. I borrowed the writing from the blog...

Task Force 201
The 1st Battalion, 201st Field Artillery is recognized as the oldest unit in the United States Army with continuous active service since the 17th of February 1735. The Battalion is also recognized as the only surviving unit of the original seven companies that formed the U.S. Army in 1775. The Battalion has served in the Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Mexican War, Civil War, Spanish American War, Mexican Border Campaign, World War I and II, Korean War, Operation Desert Storm and now Iraqi Freedom. To say the least, the Battalion has a long history of combat experience.

Sargent Major presenting at the NCO Induction Ceremony...looks like Tyler is next.

When I went to the going away ceremony before Tyler left they talked about Morgan Morgan and I researched him and the unit. Oh, the 201st didn't just fight in the Civil War, they fought for both the Union and Confederate sides! I'm obsessed with history and this filled my need, lol.
