Ships Ahoy

It has been so hot and humid that we can hardly stand to be outside. It is so hot that when I water, I can hear everything sigh...and then there is the steam that comes off the blacktop. I'm telling you I could cook an egg on the driveway...I know how to do that...Jack and the Boy Scouts taught me how to cook on a rock at Day Camp way back when about twenty-five years ago. Anyway, I have been filling up the little plastic pool we got for the little kids every morning so I have something to cool off in during the day. I call it the Ghetto Pool. I sit in my old green paint flaking chair, with my water bottle and a book. I'm pretending to be on vacation...LOL.

The boys were complaining they were bored (how can that ever be) so I suggested that we make boats and sail them across the pool. They were all over that! The was a little shouting when Luke wasn't attaching his mast like Michael, Mr Perfection, thought he should. But once we got past that, things were great.

This is The Rusty Amicon...notice all the wonderful detail. He was so proud and it floated like it was meant to be sailing the high seas.

Michael, of course, created The Bowser Monster. Anything having to do with the world of Mario has him hook, line, and sinker.

And then we have the lovely S.S. Sink As Soon As I Hit The Water...my poor ship didn't even make it out of dry dock.

Luke test run.
