The Pure Power of Prayer

I received an email from a very dear friend. In the words I could sense her worry and concern for a dear friend. She asked me very plainly to send an email to all my prayer peeps. I've sent an email and now I am sending a blog request for you to pray for this family. I will post what LeighAnn put on FaceBook. As you read remember that people all over the world have begun to pray for this family and the physicians that are treating Bram. I find it totally awesome to see God at work thru prayer...

'please please be in prayer for my friends bram and sandi floria. bram suffered a stroke last night and is in ICU in austin. his right carotid is completely blocked. his mom, cher, said he was incoherent, but since medication, is understanding and able to respond correctly to questions. his whole left side has no feeling. bram is 43 and he and sandi have 4 precious children. please pray. thank you so much'

'update on bram from his mom, cher: they're finding problems with his heart and arteries, probably congenital and maybe requiring surgery. he's not tolerating the morphine and is in much pain. she says they're far from a plan and prognosis. so grateful for your prayers..please continue'

'bram had his MRI, i don't know any results yet. he surprised us all with this from his own hand on his fb status: "strokes have nothing on the power of a mighty God."...our God is mighty to save! please continue to pray for he and sandi, as well as their family. thanks so so so much'

'update from sandi: "Check by nurse at 1 am. Bram felt a poke on his left shin (with his eyes closed) AND...drum roll...he held a cup of JELLO with his left hand and fed himself. God is good! We've been having a nice chat about God's plans for our future and a hope."...so many are praying...if you're one of them, thank you! =)'

'please keep praying. here's an update from sandi: MRI shows a definite stroke on the right side of Bram's brain -a large part was affected. She was quite surprised & encouraged at his ability to use his left side and believes the blood vessels are already making new connections and pathways to the right side of his brain. Prayer Concern: Bram's vision -it's a bit spotty and his left peripheral vision is not too good.'

'from bram's brother, ryan: damaged area of bram's brain is 1/3 less than they thought! moving from icu to neuro floor today! thank you, Jesus! =)'

'bram just walked 15 feet with a walker without assistance!!! sitting up in a chair now, working with a speech therapist. God is MIGHTY!!!'

If you have read this blog entry and are praying let us know so we can forward that information to the family. Please leave you location in the comment section.

jan, thank you...wow, reading it over again makes me cry. after so much personal experience with how mighty and awesome and powerful (and so many other things!) our God is, i think it's funny that He never ceases to amaze...thank you thank you for sharing this on your blog. i love you! =)
Jan,
Thank you so much for asking people to pray for Bram and me. God is doing a mighty work. Not just here in this hospital room, healing my husband, but all over the world, calling the body together to pray for a man that some of them don't even know. We may never know the extent of God's work on our behalf, but we know that He is Mighty to Save. We know that He has raced to our rescue (Ps 18) and has shot His arrows at the enemy and scattered them. He's throwing great bolts of lightening and routing them. We love Him more and more everyday.

Blessings,
Sandi Floria
