EMPS #29: Winter Meets Spring
Carly always is challenging us to reach and think outside the box. This weeks challenge is to take a photo of winter meeting spring. Her example is beautiful...snow and flowers. I wanted so much to do the same thing but for the life of me I can not seem to locate the shot that I want to share. So this one is second best. Does it count that they are called snowdrops and the picture was taken on the first day of spring in 2007? Can you tell that I had really no idea what my little camera could do? All I remember was that I was thrilled to see some flowers coming up. It was our first spring in this house. So everything that came up was a big deal to us. We are so looking forward to seeing what survived the winter from all the blood, sweat and tears from last summer and fall.
There is a second part to this challenge...we are to choose our favorite shot that we think could be used in a calendar. I chose this one because it was so very different from what I think everyone else will show us. I don't even have any idea what kind of flower it is. I just like the looks of all the green. It actually gives me hope for spring.
Be sure to check out what everyone else decided to post. I am sosure we all will feel a little more spring like when we do.
