A Walk In The Park

Today, Election Day, was absolutely gorgeous! The kids had no school but the teachers had meetings. Allyson, Michael and I went to the park after lunch. This is how we saw Michael most of the day. Michael took his bike and I pushed Allyson in the stroller as fast as my legs would go, only to catch up with Michael...and then he would take off again. He has a new trick. Mr. Cautious, can now stand up and petal and coast along. He won't tell you about it, he 'is to embarrassed.' I was going to try to get a video of him doing his now famous trick...but I could never get close enough to get a good shot...he would stay just out of camera range, the little stinker.

A few weeks ago I had a photo challenge of taking a shot of a reflection. At the time I did a lame thing with the van door and window with me in the picture. When I saw this today I thought I would add it to the blog to show you all that I can find the subjects for the challenges. Just a day late and a dollar short. Oh, well. This is Michael's favorite of the bike path. He says it always feels like he is riding through a tunnel of trees. Actually that is exactly want it looks like. Then right after you come out of the tunnel...there is a path back through the woods. I love the rich warm colors of fall. I don't like all the allergies that come with the season. ACHOOO!Not only do we get to ride bikes, check out the Bark Park, almost run over the slower walkers, sit and rest in the gazebo, check out the ducks....there is also a little rock hunting....

rock throwing...
rock splashing...

We had a great day. And by the looks of the weather forcast for the weekend, we picked a perect day to go to the park because it is going to get a lot colder...might have to turn on the electric blanket.
