First Two Quilts

About two weeks ago a very nice lady hand delivered two quilt kits from Children's Hospital in Cincinnati...Project Linus. I thought , piece of cake. I had forgotten that you need to read all the directions first and that a baby needs you every hour or soand then there is Ella...need I say more...all that because it took me way longer to make two small quilts than I ever dreamed it would. I gotta get a better game plan. The first completed quilt I just call Squares...I like the pattern and I will use it again another time. Really simple and really fast. Then we have the Split Rail Quilt. A little more challenging to say the least. But the great thing is that I learned something new. Have you ever birthed a quilt? I have never heard of such a thing. Here is a copy of the directions if you should ever want to give it a try. I'd say that I would do it again...really interesting and rather easy.

So two down and who knows how many more I will be able to make. You know it is winter...and as soon as I get my quilting grove back I have a quilt to make for Tini and one for Sabrina and Tyler...I promise.

Wow, how do you do it all. Super Woman! These first two quilts are wonderful, and for such a good cause.
