Sneak Peak
Betsy, Dewey and I have been working on their Backyard Make-Over. One area is just about finished...just needs a little bit more tweaking before we can move on to another section. Here is a sneak peek...
Mark and I have been working some on the front yard this week. So far we have managed to take out three stumps and are contemplating taking out a half dead dogwood tree. Today he is at work and I am on my way to the farm with Betsy. We are taking some bread over for the pigs and then plan to work on one of her Dad's flower beds. Get it back in shape and make him a place to sit under the tree. The area has some good bones and I don't think it will take us very long at all...as long as the rain holds off. Here's a little tad bit of what we did yesterday...
Here is the start of the birdhouse collection. Three so far. I love the old oar. Mark knew that would be good for something someday. I think is is just real close to perfect.
We have decided (maybe I should clarify, I think) that we are going to redo the front of the house. Kinda Jazz it up just a bit...Michael says that it is boring. Yesterday I brought all the rusty cool stuff to the back yard. Today if the rain holds out I plan to separate some hosta and plant them along the sidewalk. Mark would like some bushes (box woods) and I would like some color...haven't figured that out yet either. Oh, just something to think about for another day.
