Just Me and My Best Bud
It is that time again. This Round Robin Photo Challenge has a little twist to it. First of all it comes from the creative recesses of Carly's brain at Ellipsis in California. I have to tell you that these Round Robin's intimidate me just a bit. But this old dog is trying to learn some new tricks. This challenge we are to "Caption Your Perfect Scene." It is hard enough for me to choose just what I think might be the perfect picture but now they want me to put a caption with it. Not to mention that I have no idea how to add the caption on the actual picture...haven't learned how to do that yet. I know that it must be easy but I haven't tried really hard to figure it out. Right now I am trying to learn to navigate my laptop. A little too much for this brain at the moment...it is water logged :)So back to the Round Robin...I knew what picture I was going to use because it makes everyone laugh. But the caption took a little longer. I have this picture framed and in our half bath off the family room. The frame had a caption on it when we bought it...just laugh...I thought that was perfect. It was taken the first summer we moved back to Ohio. These two are the funniest team I have ever seen. What one doesn't think of the other does! They tend to get in a bit of trouble. They know what buttons to push to drive the other one crazy. They remind us of our oldest son and his partner in crime, Jeremy Allen. Literally this is how they are everyday. (Last week was Spring Break. Luke went to Key Largo...needless to say it was a long week for Michael...but we did get to feed Luke's fish and that seemed to help a little)...I was telling the girls about the Round Robin and that I was having a hard time with the caption. They came up with this one...thanks girls...I think it is also perfect...

(Now, can someone please email simple directions on how to actually add a caption ON the picture, please?)

Love the photo of the two - it's adorable. :-) Kids make the greatest photo subjects.

As for adding the caption, I use Elements.
Choose you photo.
Click on Full Edit.
Use the Type tool (T)
From there, you can choose font, size, color from along the top of your screen.
Place your curso on the pic and just start typing.
When you have what you like, click on the green check mark.
Save it.
Ta-Da.

You did a super job with the challenge. You always post wonderful photos and you rose to the occasion here as well. :) I am not sure what photo program you use, but if you are still having trouble maybe we can IM tomorrow, Sunday, I can try to help you figure it out. I use Paint Shop Pro 9 -- I guess I'm just an old-fashioned girl here in the cyber-world, but it works for me in making signature tags. You just click on the "A" and choose a font, font size, and font color, position your cursor, and type in what you want to write. The program is very forgiving, too. I don't know if it's for sale any more, though. I'm sure that if I lost mine, I'd have trouble replacing it.

I used picnik.com to add my caption. Nothing fancy, but easy, and free.
