Water, Water, EVERWHERE!
It must be bad when all the pirates have jumped ship and taken to dry land. Michael and Luke run out to play with the pirate ship in between rain drops.
This is what the top part of the driveway looked like when I went to work yesterday morning. I was afraid that the water was going to be in the garage when I got home from Preschool. Before I left, I made sure to sweep all of this puddle down the driveway and away from the house.
Michael and Luke refer to this as our pond. I imagine that one day I will look out and see ducks sitting there or carp thrashing around. It is pretty deep in some spots...just wish it wasn't so close to the house.
Literally everywhere you look if there is a place for water to gather...even in the zucchini patch. I don't know if it will every be dry enough to plant for the summer. Last night they were predicting that we would get 5 inches of rain...sure wish it was snow! Snow is a heck of a lot prettier.
24 counties under advisories, watches or sever weather warnings. 1-3 additional inches of rain. Local rivers are above flood stage.
Wednesday...rain...tonight...a chance of a flake
Thursday...mostly cloudy, chance of rain
Friday...chance of rain
Saturday...wintry mix
Sunday...cloudy
By the looks of the forecast, I am thinking I will probably wear these lovely shoes to church for Easter. What do you think?
