Delicious!

Mom's Boot Camp also encludes learning to make the right food decisions. Back in October Skyler's Mom gave me a cook book that I am learning to love...I think want I like the best is that you fool your family into eating good food hidden in foods that they already like. Today I found a recipe for Oatmeal cookies. Now, the oatmeal cookies that we like are the really good moist ones that Mark's grandmother always made. They still are by far the best I have ever eaten, and let me just tell you I have eated a boat load of oatmeal cookies looking just of the right one...just like Mamaw's. I made some once that were pretty close but the next time I tried...they weren't any good. Back to my cookies today. I used the recipe from the book but had to substitue applesauce for banana and zuchinni puree. Sarah askes if these are real cookies or are the healthy for you cookies...my answer...they are cookies! The real test will come when the Big Cookie Monster tries them tonight after work. The Little Cookie Monster is now too busy in the basement drawing or probally building something out of old cardboard boxes he finds. I'll let you know.

There is a cupcake recipe in there made with carrots that is amazing. I made the for John Hunter and he loved them. They will also be going to "Mom's Day Out" for Valentines day! Try them...

They looked and tasted "wonderful"....can't wait for some turnip meatloaf or something else yummy!!
I love, love, love this book. I have tried several of the recipes on my family and fooled them every time. Josiah loves the chicken nuggets (I bake them instead of frying them). If you like dark chocolate - the pudding recipe is really good. The quesidillas are very good and I could just go on and on. We will have to compare notes.

Ok this morning for breakfast we did the green eggs and ham! And I read the book to John Hunter. Sounds to me like Michael may like this one!
