Boys at work and at play...
Today was a really wet crazy day. This morning we were awakened by a big ole thunderstorm. The rest of the family slept thru it but I was up at 2AM looking out the windows...checking to see if we were going to blow away or sail away. While Michael and I were at school this morning,
Mark and our "other" neighbor...the one on the left that we hardly ever see...worked on our ditch. We had leaves blocking the way for drainage. Our water was about to go out on the road, so in between the rain drops Mark worked hard to unclog the ditch. He even had to cut out a tree that was growing in the middle of the ditch right in front of the drainage tile.
While Mark was digging out front, the boys were busy in the backyard. Michael has been working on his Leggo pirate shipfor a few days .
This morning when he woke up he noticed that we literally had a huge pond in the backyard. He kept talking about taking his ship out to sail on the pond. He even decided that I could take my hair drier out and use it to scoot the ship across the water. It was hard for him to accept the fact that electricity and water don't mix.
They found out that either the water wasn't deep enough or the Leggos were just to heavy to float. So the two of them got together and rigged up the wagon with a bungee cord attached to a racketball racket. 
Those two...you never know what they are going to come up with. Mark ended up bringing them in and having to give them a bath. I can also tell you that their boots won't be dry on the inside until this time next year.
This evening Michael was really quiet and when I came up to tuck him in, I found out what he had been doing. When Ellis was here, he introduced Micahel to Word World. It is a really cute and educational show that builds words. Almost everything on the show is made by using the letters of the word...I know that doesn't expalin it very well...here is Michael's version of train....
