A Whole New Year

This year has started out with a bang already. Emmy decided that at the last minute she needed a dress made for a New Year's party. We started the dress and actually finished...I haven't made an adult dress or anything since I was in 9th grade home economics. We stayed up until 6:30 am. Emmy was too tired to even try on the dress for a pic...so Sarah did her best Project Runway pose. Terry, Lisa and Trevor came for a few days on the spur of the moment. It was great...lots of good food and tons of laughs. Honestly, we didn't do anything but eat. Terry loves Montgomery Inn ribs...so we had to have them on New Year's Eve for dinner before we had all the other stuff that crammed the fridge. Oh, how we love to eat! Mark and I had worked in the backyard raking and mulching all the leaves for about the third time this year. We had piled all the limbs in the middle of the back yard for a campfire on New Year's Eve. I went out and started one of the biggest fires I have ever made and we were able to stand the cold and wind for about thirty minutes.Terry and Lisa were troopers. Mark looks like he is dressed to go out in the wilderness for days! It was COLD! We had to come in to get warm by the fire in the house. Something wrong with that picture. But Terry has decided that he is going to check into getting gas logs for their house. Trevor kept Michael busy or it might have been the other way around, with the Wii.
Trevor is good at all the games and Michael is turning out to be a pretty good pitcher. But his best form is in bowling...check out this short clip... I even tried golf but found my niche in bowling. But I think the most fun I had was teaching Terry and Lisa how to blog. They decided right before the came to start a blog...the name...are you ready...it is origional...theellisfamilyhuntington.blogspot.com...check it out when you have a chance. Just remember that Terry always writes in red and Lisa in black. Tonight when I checked Alex had written in it also. Then Terry taught me some things about my computer that I didn't know and now I am so computer smart...LOL. Terry and Lisa decided to go home "because it was starting to snow and they had tons to get ready for work and school tomorrow". Little did I know...but seems like everyone else in the family knew...I was upstairs trying to figure out what was wrong with the computer or camera because I couldn't get any pictures downloaded...still can't find the ones that I took at lunch...when I hear a little voice coming in the front door. I could have sworn it was Emmy and Gracie but when I get to the bottom of the stairs...there stood Emmy, Mark, Cassie, Ellis Trevor and Alaire. I was SO SHOCKED!!!!! I think now I have three best Christmas gifts...Seems Trevor has some church related stuff to do and Cassie and crew came along for the ride. They also plan on visiting Trevor's brother in Lexington and Trevor's parents in Indy. How great is that! So now every bed is full, every couch covered with a body and I hear snoring sounds coming from I don't know where. I know that I need to go to bed and get some rest for tomorrow I am back at preschool. But I must say that it is nice to have the house fill full again. It makes a Mom smile and even maybe a little teary eyed. We are just missing Bryce and Seau. Good night New Year!

Love the dress. You guys did a great job. Looks like New Year was a hit. We had a ton of fun too. How did you get your slide show smaller so that it fit on the side?
