Home for Christmas

Friday I left work a little early to get on the road to WV. Mark only gets to have Christmas Day off so we have to wait until January to have our Christmas with family in WV. There is so much that goes on and so many stories to tell....I am sure that it would take volumes to tell about each pictures that I want to share. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words...so I'm sorry but here comes another slide show.
We first went to a basketball game...Fairland (my nephew's senior year...#55) and South Point (the coach and his wife are really good friends). Both were undefeated and it was a great game. Dustin Dunked the ball and got a T. Gary's team won by one point at the very end of the game. Saturday evening we celebrated Christmas with the Ellis side of the family. We ate until we were sick...all the favorites, ham Mamaw's potato salad, Lisa's green beans, stuff celery, sweet potatoes, baked beans, scalloped potatoes, blackberry cobbler, pumpkin pie, and apple pie. I full again just writing about it. After dinner comes entertainment and gifts. But there is one video you have to see, First I need to set it up for you. There is a very special box named "Old Faithful" that has been in the Ellis family since Mark and Terry were little boys. Each year Mamaw chooses a special participant. Their name is logged on the back...well, let's let Emmy and Mamaw tell you the history...

haha this video is only a glimpse of how funny emmy is about Old Faithful.

and the PROMISE scholarship is for WV high school graduates who get a 20 in all 4 subjects on the ACT and getting a 22 or 23 overall. if u meet those requirements, u automatically get the PROMISE scholarship, which pays tuition for four years of college. yea, talk about amazing

Someone on the video said you had to get married to get Old Faithful, but I can tell you as the newest newlywed, that Tyler and I have never had it. Which means I have never had it! So sorry Emmy, even that won't help. You got it this year though so you should be good for about 20 more years.
