LOVEYOUEGUTS Fundraiser
Our trip to WV was topped off with the best spaghetti dinner I have ever had. Let me explain. Most of you know about Sarah Beth, our "niece" and her trials and triumphs with cancer. If you would like to know more you can go back in the archives and read about her. Or better yet, go to her website...www.LoveYourGuts.com and read her very touching and inspiring journey while dealing with cancer. You will find an amazing woman and a community of very loving and caring people. I have been praying that there would be a good turn out. I wasn't really sure how many people would show up. Oh, ye of little faith. I literally cried when we pulled up to the church. There was not a single parking space anywhere to be found. Once we got in the church building, we stood for about 30 minutes waiting for a table. You couldn't stir all the people with a stick! Wall to wall people smiling, talking, laughing, hugging and bidding on items in the silent auction. We were seated and we then were greeted by the best elementary school aged boy waiter that I have ever seen. Bryce could definitely use him at Ruby's. He was excellent. We did not want for anything. He was on top of everything. I was impressed with the amount of kids that were working. And there was not an ugly word among any of them. It was great to see all the people. All of us there for a great cause. Sarah Beth and her family were there greeting everyone that they could. They were amazed at the turn out also. I wish you all could have been there to see angels at work. Sarah Beth looks great! Her hair is growing back. But best of all, her smile is back. We were able to visit with her Sunday afternoon before coming home. She is now allowed to drive. She is also thinking about taking a class at Marshall and even getting a job. Life is looking great from where she is sitting right now. Thank you Jesus
