Pirate Party

What fun we had! And there were only four of us! The boys came exactly at 6:30PM which seemed to have taken all day to get here. Michael must have told me what time it was about a hundred times today. This first picture is one of the best I was able to get tonight. I had the setting wrong on the camera for some reason...I can just see Cassie, Emmy, Bryce, and Sarah rolling their eyes on that one...anyway this was a great picture. They would not hardly stand still long enough for the picture. We had lots to do...here is Luke with his finished Jack-o-Lantern. They had to draw on the face and later they can carve the pumpkin when it get closer to Halloween. Luke cracks me up. His J-O-L is sitting on my front porch. I just don't think he is too sure about all this dressing up and scary stuff. Skyler did a great job with his face. One sad story...on the way out the door to go home, somehow...with Michael involved, Skyler dropped his finished J-O-L and it fell into a million pieces. We had to do emergency surgery and then I carried it home very carefully and handed it directly to Momo. I'm sure his will be placed in a place of honor on the front porch tomorrow morning.

We had a few other things to do like decorating a bucket and putting scary things on a foam pirate ship. Skyler at one point wanted to know when we were going to play games....not this time buddy. Skyler's Mom, now known as "Mom Martha" brought down the coolest thing. She made witch brooms out of paper bags and sticks from her yard. They were filled with tons of fun things that boys just love like Pez skeletons, glow in the dark stuff, plastic rats, glow in the dark balls, candy corn playing cards...and a ton of other things. They ate and played with those things forever. But then it was time for the infamous...skeleton brownies. Miss Renee got a really great magazine last week and I have had it ever since she brought it home. The boys wanted me to make these brownies that have cut up Snicker's in them. Okay by me. Then they have chocolate icing and then a skeleton out of white icing piped out of a baggie with M&M's for the eyes and mouth. Michael and I made the cake part of the brownies last night before bed...YUM! Then today after lunch Michael, Luke and I finished them up. I could eat and entire plate myself with a gallon of ice cold fattening vitamin D milk. HEAVEN!
I think if I had let them, the boys would have eaten the entire plate of brownies. And then been up all night with a stomach ache. I think this last picture sums up the whole night...Thanks you guys for letting me play! Now, Michael wants to know how many more days it is until the next party...and when exactly is Halloween?
