First Week of School
So far so good...Michael and his buddies have had a great first week of elementary. We had a little difficulty with who was going to be the line leader at the bus stop. So I took a lesson from my good Day Care Provider in WI and we now have a list posted and we all know who is in front of the line everyday. So far it has worked...I'm keeping my fingers crossed. The teachers send home Friday Folders containing important messages from the teacher and some of the paperwork the children have completed during the week. This week our class was working on sorting and printing capital ABC and lower case abc. Here are two jewels that I m going to save forever. If you double click on them you will be able to read the little poems. They are too sweet. I might just copy them for the preschool teachers to hand to their moms and dads after their first week. notice how much better Michael is staying in the lines. He seems to be very concerned about that. And check out the cover picture on the front of his book...wonder how that got there....
Sarah is still loving the life of a Sophomore and looking forward to turning 16. She has some really big plans for her party but we still have to come to an agreement on that. She has already had homework and some tests...all in the first week...she seems to think that is ridiculous. I say, go for i teachers...set the bar high!
I am loving preschool once again. Life as an interim administrative assistant is fun, but there are some sweaty times...like when I have to use the big machines in the main office. Those thing scare me to death! I have a fear of being the one that causes the machine to clog so bad that they have to buy a new one. The ladies in the office are very helpful and just laugh at me. I have done everything from planting mums in the planters to cutting 210 pieces of paper at one time. Sounds like I need to get out more.
