HAPPY NEW YEAR

Yet, another party! We celebrated the New Year with friends from home. The Napier's (I would try to explain the relationship we have with the family but you would be so confused by the time I finished...) Once Michael figured out that we were having a party it was all he could do to contain himself. We just had to have some decorations! I think the snowflakes are because he wants it to snow so bad. "It just isn't Christmas without snow, Momma." And what is a party without a party list.We don't know where the thought came from...Michael was again dead set on having a hamburger eating contest. The only contestant was...you guessed it, Michael. I have a feeling if you would like more details you can go to Cassie's web site to hear the real story. This is a shot of all the kids playing some game that Trevor and Cassie play in Kansas. After that one we played one of Emmy's favorites.."The Train Game". There are route cards, wild engines and colorful box cards that you have to figure out how to complete your routes. I thought I was doing fairly well (don't ask Emmy or Cassie if that is true or not)...it was hard to remember all the rules...Sarah Ann caught on to it sooner than the rest of us did. It was fun and I would play again, once I got to study the rules for a few hours. The big boys were able to get tickets to the Bengals-Steelers game. We thought they were nuts. It was raining like pouring it out of a bucket and getting colder by the minute. You see, Uncle Mark and Trevor Ellis have a continuing bet about who is the best.."Worthlessburger or Carson Pooper". I guess we see who the winner was. Trevor was loving it.As you can see, they had some great seats. To hear they tell it, seems that they were having a little bit of trouble keeping the binoculars focused on the game...something about checking out the cheerleaders and the girls in the stands.I am wondering if you were thinking we left poor little Ellis out in the backyard playing with the dog next door...or no, every chance he got he was looking for balls. He really didn't care what kind they were. Did you know that you can even find them in the fridge? Yep..are those orange balls he is climbing in for?

Sounds like a wonderful new year. I couldn't tell, was Sarah Beth in that group picture. Of course Michale wants snow, he's from Wisconsin after all. Blasted El nino winters. It's not supposed to snow up here all month.
