Train Display

Another busy night of Holiday Fun! We meet Emmy, Dave and Annie at Emmy's house this evening. We drove to "the big city" to see the Duke Energy Train Display. The train display is in its 60th year. The lobby of the building has at least 10 train tracks with a little city complete with a skiing hill, a pond for skating and all the trains that you can imagine.
One of the trains even has a small camera mounted in the light and it shows on a big screen. Mark took us last weekend. Emmy and her friends had heard so much about how fun it was...they decided they had to go...but only if Michael went also. Dave now knows more about trains than he ever thought he could know. We walked to Fountain Square to see the ice skating rink. We had planned on skating but the ice was melting and they were closed. Michael said that he didn't want to skate because he didn't know how. So instead we went to Red Robin for dinner.
An end note...Annie made Michael a train from candy. He thought it was great. On the way home he started eating the gum. He has never had gum so with Cassie's prodding, I had to explain to him that you chew the gum and then spit it out when the sweet is gone. He thought that was a good idea. About 5 minutes later I asked him to hand me the rest of the gum so we could save it until the next day. He said, "Momma, I only have one piece left." When we got home I asked him to give the gum that he put in the trash...well seems that the gum is in his tummy...but he promised that he won't do that any more.

Looks like great fun!!! Reminds me of the fantastic day we had at the bird show.

Must disagree with your blog about watching birds on the front porch. You might be watching for birds but not at birds. Been there and did not see even a feather or beak.

Call me and I will give you some birding tips. Always the bird master here.

Merry Christmas to all !!

first off please let "mifixer" know that he has yet to even see the one who taught you all you know about blogging.

second, another thing i think might work for the gum swallowing...tell him if he swallows gum sharks can smell it in his tummy and they will want to eat him. i think it will work, he doesn't have a good track record with sharks!
