Ellis Turns One
I wish I could put all the pictures on so you could see what a great time we had but my camera was on the fritz that day so all I have are him in his pj's and in the bathtub with Michael. So I guess I will just have to tell you and you use your imagination....so here goes. Ellis turned one on the 13th of November. Cassie and Trevor were in Cincinnati attending a Youth Specialities Conference. We decided that since they were going to be here and since we lived closer, we should have everyone here for Thanksgiving and a birthday party. And what a day it was. Let me see if I can name everyone that was here on Sunday for dinner. Pepaw came with Stitch. Then Mamaw and Papaw pulled in. Emmy, Bryce and Tini were here. Robin, Kenny, Molly and Dustin along with Terry, Lisa, Alex and her friend and Trevor. And don't forget us...Mark, Jan, Sarah and Michael. Oops, almost forgot the birthday boy and his Mom and Dad. I think we had 21 for dinner. We had everything from deviled eggs and Mom's Crap to an oven baked turkey to a deep fried turkey. And don't forget the cake...Thomas the Tank Engine. Michael and Ellis dressed as engineers for the occasion. Okay, ready for Round 2? Monday evening we had another birthday party with all of Trevor's family. Let's count them again. Let's start with the 'Leftovers" from party #1...Mark, Jan, Sarah, Michael, Emmy, Bryce, Tini, Mamaw, Papaw, Cassie, Trevor and Ellis. Now add Doug and Karen Oakes, TD, Jen , Mayzee and Henry..Jeff and Jennifer with Aria and Meira. HOLY MOLEY! Chef Mark grilled Montgomery Inn ribs for us. And you have to throw in some Saratoga chips with that. They were excellant! And of course we had to have another birthday cake. This time it was Lightening McQueen. Henry and Michael were thrilled with that. We had a great time..but I have to admit that I am glad you only turn 1 once. But we'd do it all again next year for sure!
