Birthday Week...

December has already started out to be crazy. Michael is so confused! His actual birthday, the day that we now call his "day you were born" was on Friday. But Kyle beat us to the teacher to bring in snacks. Seems it is also his birthday. So that isn't our birthday this year.

Saturday we celebrated by taking a family trip (and a few more) to the Museum at Union Terminal. They have an awesome train display. And they are allowing you to acutally go to the top floor to the observation windows and see an actual working freight yard. There were hundreds and hundreds of real trains. Michael was in seventh heaven. He even wore his engineers hat for the occassion.

Sunday we finally had a birthday party. We invited all of his favorite friends for a special birthday lunch that Michael created...hotdogs with buns, telephone mac and cheese, applesauce, carrots and dip, doritoes, "seventeen" and last but not least rolls. (We didn't have the rolls, they just were forgotten). And cake of course...one with jet planes. (Can you believe it didn't have trains on it).

Today he finally was able to celebrate with his preschool class. Tini made some of her famous and Michael's favorite "colorful" star cookies. She made so many that we were able to share with his friends at school. Thank you Tini. Today when I picked him up from school, he asked if we were going to go get a pinata for his birthday. Maybe next year :)!!!)
