Alaire's Costa Rica Cronicles
And there she goes. I pray for her in every way, every day!
(She made the quilt jacket before she left from an old quilt.)
She decided against taking her guitar. By the looks of things, it didn't take her long to pick one up there.
I hope she shares with others.
She loves a good sit on the porch, any porch.
This is where she will be living!
We went sightseeing in San José, the capital city of Costa Rica.
Building community through crafts.
She will try it all. I am thinking with the help of ChatGPT, she is eating a mangosteen.
Look a little closer. What do you see under the bridge?
Not a bad classroom.
A trip to the beach.

A big blue land crab guarding the entrance to his burrow.

Classes have begun. The assignment was some assigned reading. They chose where they would read. These two goofballs were falling asleep. The instructor caught the snoozing. So they decided to divide and conquer...taking turns to read would keep them awake.
This is their instructor. She speaks no English. Her students don't speak Spanish. So in the beginning they will be learning Spanish. Alaire is kicking herself for not learning it this summer.
Anyone know the goober in the middle?
Some very competitive games of soccer.
From what I can tell through pics and texting with her on WhatsApp, she's doing fine, loves it, has found her tribe, and she fits right in. She might be the 'gang leader' of the fun stuff, taking it to another level.
