Getting In Gear
I spent the day with Murph getting ready for the Annual Wammyville Pumpkin Patch. Our planted pumpkin patch only produced three small pumpkins. That will not do. So off Murph and I go in the truck out to a place we love to pumpkin/gourd shop. No luck there. Plan B...The Milford Garden Center.
See that HUGE mum? The guy at the garden center gave it to us and said, "It's for the kids."
Murph estimates those two pumpkins weigh about 100 pounds each!
I love the bumpy ones.
There may be a few birdhouse gourd birdhouses in our future.
We have found that Aldi has the best prices for pumpkins. Every year, I need to climb into the bin to dig out pumpkins.
It's for the kids, I keep telling myself.
I was a little stuck after a mound of pumpkins landed on my foot.
They are beautiful, every last one of them. They got to spend the night in the back of the pick-up. Tomorrow was unload day with the yahoos.
My strong helpers were Avery and Colton.
They loved helping!
